AI Image Editor
In-browser AI-assisted image editing tool for cropping, annotation, and face-aware adjustments
The AI Image Editor is a lightweight, in-browser editing tool for preparing or adjusting images before they are used in other VisionLog workflows — such as enrollment, person search, or batch analysis. It is integrated directly into the Experimental Lab and requires no external software.
Key Capabilities
- Crop and resize — trim images to focus on a specific region before analysis.
- Annotation — draw bounding boxes, labels, or notes on images for documentation purposes.
- Face-aware adjustments — apply basic corrections (brightness, contrast) that complement face recognition accuracy.
- Pre-enrollment preparation — clean up a photo before submitting it to the face enrollment pipeline.
Typical Workflow
- Upload an image using the file picker or drag-and-drop.
- Apply the desired edits using the toolbar.
- Export the edited image to your device, or pass it directly to another Experimental Lab tool (e.g., Folder Person Search reference photo).
Integration with Other Tools
The Image Editor sits at the beginning of the visual pipeline. Common handoff patterns:
| Edit Operation | Downstream Workflow |
|---|---|
| Crop a face from a group photo | Face enrollment |
| Annotate a match screenshot | Forensic reporting |
| Adjust brightness of a dark image | Folder Person Search reference |
Notes
- All edits are performed client-side in the browser — no image data is sent to the backend during editing.
- The editor is currently in active development; capabilities will expand in future releases.
